اللسان العربي – الفعل المضعّف

On 4th January, our teacher told us that al-Fe’l al-Muda’af is a verb in which an alphabet comes twice and together and is combined. For example, from عَدَدَ to عَدَّ, from مَرَرَ to مَرَّ, from سدد to سدّ, from شدد to شد etc.

I have constructed four tables for a مضعف verb in maadi and mudaari’ tense (m’aruf as well as majhool). You can see them below. You can also download the pdf file of these tables. To view these tables correctly, you should install following fonts on your computer machine:

  1. Muhammadi Bold Font, also called Muhammadi Quranic Bold.
  2. Traditional Arabic Bold, also called TradArabicBold.
  3. Besmellah 2, also called Besmellah
  4. Iran Nastaliq

اللسان العربي – الفعل المضارع المجهول

We have learnt in al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’ that it is a tense in which present and future (both) periods are found. For example: یقتل (He kills OR He will kill). Today, we are going to learn its passive voice.

On 21st December, 2012, our teacher gave us four (يعرف۔ يدرس۔ يفتح۔ يلبس) verbs to conjugate in al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’. On 22nd December, he told us the method of converting active voice of al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’ into its passive voice.

He told us that as we changed two strokes (diacritical marks OR vowels) to convert simple past tense into simple past passive tense, similarly, we just have to change three strokes in al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’. The first consonant will have raf’a on it, the second will have sukun and the third will have nasab on it while the rest of the sequence will be according to active voice. For example:

اللسان العربي – الفعل المضارع

In Verb, we have learnt that al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’ is a tense in which present and future (both) periods are found. On 30th November, 2012, we revised past passive tense and past far tense. On 13th December, 2012, our teacher told us about al-Fe’l al-Mudaari’ that it has two periods (present and future) in it. He told us that (أ.ت.ي.ن) is its sign i.e. if any of these four words comes as the first letter of the verb, then it is Mudari’e. For example, أفعل, يفعل, يضرب etc.

Our teacher told conjugated for us the Mudaari’ table from simple past tense and gave us the homework to construct a few tables. Next day ,on 14th December, 2012, he asked us to conjugate from عبد and سمع.

The tables I constructed for الفعل المضارع are as following. You can also download the pdf file of these tables. To view these tables correctly, you should install following fonts on your computer machine:

  1. Muhammadi Bold Font, also called Muhammadi Quranic Bold.
  2. Traditional Arabic Bold, also called TradArabicBold.
